Building Digital Twins
These conference proceedings present research on building digital twins and the transition to sustainable, resilient built environments. Contributions address building information modelling, indoor environmental assessment, smart sensors, energy performance and related digital technologies.
This methodological integration of the Möller–Trumbore intersection algorithm ensures that the resulting scanner placements accurately reflect practical constraints and real-world occlusion scenarios [7].

To accurately incorporate occlusion effects, each candidate scanner location undergoes a rigorous validation step.

This occlusion check requires the use of a ray-triangle intersection method to check the intersection of the bounded ray (from the scanner location to the key-point) with all triangles of all BIM objects.
