Informal, chiefly British. A person of high social standing or great wealth, typically perceived as upper-class and fashionably dressed (often used with mildly derogatory intent).

The party was filled with toffs, all dressed in their finest evening wear.

A man who dresses very elegantly and pays great attention to his appearance; a dandy.

In his silk cravat and polished shoes, he looked every inch the toff.
